                                   Buddy Boe, CLED

                                   Executive Director, River Parishes Tourist Commission

Buddy currently serves as the Executive Director of the River Parishes Tourist Commission. Previously, he served as the Senior Advisor and Communications Director for the Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana. After running for office at the age of 19 and 24, Buddy was elected to the St. John the Baptist Parish Council in South Louisiana at 29 years old. He serves as the Governor’s appointee on the board of NOCCA, currently serving as Vice-Chairman. In 2014, he was named the Millennial Changemaker of the Year.

 

In 2010, Boe founded Invictus Solutions which focuses on assisting clients with public relations and business development.  Buddy is a certified Louisiana economic developer. Additionally, Buddy is the managing partner of Buddy B’s Restaurant, Invictus Properties, Invictus Cypress Enterprises, Invictus Cypress Properties and Monaco Land Development.

Boe has previously served as Chairman of the National Association of Counties NextGen Network, Secretary of the Garyville Timbermill Museum Association, a member of the Louisiana SuperRegion Rail Authority, a Board member of the St. John United Way, and sat on both the World Trade Center Transportation Committee and GNOInc's NextGen Council. Buddy has participated in the Loyola Institute of Politics, New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, Young Leadership Council Leadership Development Series, and was chosen as the LaPlace Rotary Citizen of the Year. He is an alumni and sponsor of the Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans and an active member of the Louisiana Industrial Executives Association.

Recently, he participated in the Delta Regional Authority Leadership Institute, the Harvard John F. Kennedy School Executive Academy, Leadership Louisiana, the Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute, HIVE/Change.org Global Young Leaders Program, and the National Association of Counties Leadership Institute. A graduate of Jesuit High School and Tulane University, Boe is currently completing his masters of public administration at the University of Louisiana - Monroe.

 

From 2009 to 2016, Buddy served as the Chief Administrative Officer, Communications Director and Public Information Officer in both St. Charles and St. John Parish.  He runs a lot so he can eat more and enjoys a glass of wine while reading his book club selection. His favorite spot on the planet, so far, is the Piazza della Rotondo by the Pantheon in Rome. Buddy plans to return to Pamplona, Spain to run with the bulls again.
