Jonathan Dean has been a Business Developer with Cleco Power since April of 2015. His primary focus is site certification and infrastructure issues.

 

Jonathan Dean also served as elected Mayor of the Town of Ball in 2011 and served until 2015.  Key accomplishments during his administration include: the implementation of Code Red Emergency Notification System, Community Center renovations; highest fire rating in the Town’s history; Three-time District Winner of the Cleanest City Contest; completion of Tres Bon and Paradise Point Subdivisions;  road improvements to Paradise Road, Cindy St., Tallpine, Municipal Lane, Squires Ln, and Adrian Drive; assisted in the startup of Ball Neighborhood Watch Program; D.E.Q. Approved Green Waste Site; and attracting seven new businesses to the Town.

 

Jonathan began his career at Security National Bank in Alexandria, Louisiana. Jonathan then served as the Credit Union Manager for St. Frances Cabrini Hospital until 2004 when his career took him to Shreveport, Louisiana. In Shreveport, Jonathan worked as the 911Addressing Coordinator for Centerpoint Energy and Credit Manager of Conco Foods. Jonathan returned home to Central Louisiana in 2008 to serve as Credit Manager for Crest Industries.

 

Jonathan Dean serves as Chairman of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Infrastructure Committee, Past Vice Chair of the Central Louisiana Infrastructure Beltway Commission , Past Board Member of the Central Louisiana Economic Development and Alliance, Treasurer of the Rapides Senior Citizens Center. He is a member of the Alexandria Downtown Rotary Club.

 

He is also a 2018 graduate of the Community Development Institute at the University of Central Arkansas and received his Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED) designation in October of 2018.
